Save Together
Savely encourages saving as a group to lessen the impact of the incremental savings cost and to foster a sense of accountability. This not only increases commitment to goals but also boosts platform virality, reducing customer acquisition costs.
Problem
Many users were unaware of the joint goal feature and struggled to find the invitation flow from the summary screen. Despite being aware of the rewards for sharing, users found the flow to be less than intuitive.
Hypothesis
Implement the flow at a more strategic point in the goal-creation process for better visibility
Integrate the friend invitation process with the joining bonus
Enhance accessibility to the flow
Cohort Results: T+60 day
-
19% of users who would sign up would share their goal with at least one friend
34% of those friends would sign up within 30 days of receiving the invitation
-
With the number of users sharing their goals, we saw the highest drop in our acquisition cost of around 32%
Learnings
Clarity in communication is the key but still is very tough to execute.
Many times it’s a tradeoff. When one concept, CTA, nudge becomes clear, others have the potential to be neglected.
A user has the maximum attention capacity per screen
It’s difficult to convey the message of we’re on your side, and want to nudge you.
